Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett Are Recording a Jazz Album Together

Back in 2011, Lady Gaga performed a cover of Nat King Cole's "Orange Colored Sky" at the Robin Hood Foundation benefit gala in NYC. Tony Bennett was in the audience, and was very impressed by the Mother Monster. He was so impressed that he asked to speak with her after the show. At their meeting, Tony proposed that the two record a jazz album together. "We were fast friends and friends ever since," Gaga recalls.

Fast forward to 2014, and we now have the first listen at what a Tony Bennett/Lady Gaga collaboration sounds like. It goes a little something like this:

The two have nothing but positive words to say about each other. "The collaboration has been so wonderful. It's so natural singing with Tony. I just learn so much from him every day. I'm so happy," gushed Gaga.

As for Tony, he said, "She sings so wonderful and she's actually really a great jazz singer. She improvises every time we do a song. We do it over and over and it's different every time."

Here are some photos of the new besties:

The new album is called Cheek to Cheek. Below is a photo of Tony and Gaga cheek to cheek. Cuuuuute.

Loving this look on Mother Monster.
