Lady Gaga's appearance on Wednesday night's American Idol garnered a lot of ovations from the crowd and the judges alike.
When Gaga mentored Haley Reinhart through the song, "I Who Have Nothing", she wasn't so worried about the vocals, but was afraid Reinhart couldn't handle the drama.
So Gaga encouraged the finalist to get a little crazy, and it resulted in a standing ovation from the judges.
Steven Tyler said, "You just Reinhart-ed yourself into the middle of next week!”
And a Gaga appearance just wouldn't be authentic without something controversial, something worth censoring, so to reinforce her image, Lady Gaga wore shoes with penis-shaped heels. Idol produces attempted to cover them up with the American Idol logo.
Lady Gaga will perform on Idol Thursday night along with Enrique Iglesias and season six Idol winner Jordin Sparks.
