Lady Gaga stripped down her usual over-the-top style performance for something extremely low-key (by her standards) for tonight’s Brit Awards. As The Sun previously reported, Gaga’s acoustic piano performance of “Telephone” and “Dance in the Dark” was dedicated to the late Alexander McQueen.
Sources say Gaga initially wanted to perform “Poker Face” and more popular songs for the event, but scrapped everything feeling it would be disrespectful to the designer who passed away just last week. She was somewhat of a muse to McQueen, who made the heels she dons in the “Bad Romance” music video.
Gaga was a big winner at the Brit Awards, collecting awards for best international female artist, best international breakthrough act and best international album for "The Fame.”
She tearfully told the audience after her third time on stage, "I was really excited to win the first two awards. This award means even more to me because I worked so hard on this album for so long."
