Lady Gaga has just broken another record—her track “Just Dance” has just gone five times platinum! The singer broke the news on her Twitter, saying, “"Just Dance" went 5x platinum this week! It's the first song by a female artist to ever pass 5 million downloads!”
And it seems as big as Gaga is, she hasn’t let it go to her head. She’s pledged to donate the profits from one of her concerts to the victims of Haiti. She told Oprah while she was on the show that all the income from merchandise and ticket sales from her New York gig on January 24th will go towards relief efforts.
Gaga said in a statement, "Haiti's still suffering. And I was thinking earlier, because I was in New York during 9/11 and I always felt, the level of disaster isn't in the neighborhood of what is happening in Haiti, but I just remember feeling nobody really understood. And I worry that young people don't know enough about what's going on there."
On her website, she also announced that fans can purchase the Lady Gaga Haiti Relief T-shirt from her website, and 100% of the profits will go to helping.
