Lady Gaga’s newest video for “Marry The Night” wont debut until Thursday but according to the 2 minute trailer for the video she debuted a few weeks ago, we know that the video involves a sick looking Gaga being wheeled into a clinic on a stretcher. Gaga says this moment is “autobiographical.”
Gaga admits in the new issue of Vanity Fair that filming that video was awful as she was “getting ready to relive the worst day of my life.”
She wasn’t sure how far she should delve into recreating that true moment from her life, but eventually decided to fully re-tell the event.
“It’s chaotic and sad. But I don’t want it to be safe,” says Gaga.
But that’s just how Gaga is, she “bares her soul” in her performances, according to herself.
“When I’m onstage, I’m so giving and so open and myself. And when the spotlight goes off, I don’t know quite what to do with myself,” confesses the star.
“… I love show business. I need it. It’s like breath,” says Gaga.
However, Gaga’s openness and obsession with showbusiness has never done well for her in relationships. She says most of the men she dates end up resenting her, or appear jealous of her talent.
“Perhaps it’s a whose-dick-is-bigger contest,” Gaga wonders, “If I go to the piano and write a quick song and play it back, they are angry with how fast and effortless it is. That’s who I am, and I don’t apologize for it.”
Yeah, Jo Calderone, dnt B jelz.
Gaga admits that her relationships never work out, and that a man once said to her, “’You will die alone in a house bigger than you know, with all your money and hit records, and you will die alone..’”
As sad as that is, and I’m getting some “Evil Witch in Snow White” imagery now, Gaga says that in those dark moments she just turns to her work. “Even though I know it sounds a bit Hallmark, whenever I [was] in that kind of stressful, worthless moment, I would think, I’ll show you.’”
“If I’m supposed to end up like some crazy casualty, then that’s my destiny.”
Suprisingly, these men who’ve broken Gaga’s heart will suddenly ask her to marry them after they’ve fought and broken up.
“How f-ckin’ romantic, you a-shole. Sure, pop a ring on my finger and make it all better. I can buy myself a f-ckin’ ring,” says Gaga.
At the end of the day, Gaga is fine with only finding happiness though performing.
“I only know the happiness of putting a smile on someone’s face from the stage,” admits the stars.
