Lady Gaga appeared on the View as a guest host and aside from making Elisabeth Hasselbeck extremely uncomfortable to be sitting so close to her, Gaga voiced her opinion on such hot topics as Amy Winehouse, marijuana, and is her hair truly made from a unicorns tail. One of those statements is a lie. Try to guess which one.
When asked how Winehouse’s death affected her personally, Gaga says “I just think that the most unfortunate thing about it all is the way the media spins things – like we can learn from Amy’s death. I don’t feel that Amy needed to learn any lessons. I felt that the lesson was for the world to be kinder to the superstar. Everybody was so hard on her.”
Sometimes Gaga’s fans refer to her as Lady GODga, this is one of those moments.
Gaga also said that she used to do hard drugs but has since cleaned up and only admits to being “a little part of the green club sometimes.” And she’s not talking about the green club of fern enthusiasts.
Gaga’s song “Edge of Glory” was one of the last performances for the late saxophone player Clarence Clemons. Gaga said he was “like a father figure” to her and that they had an unlikely “six wonderful months of really close friendship.”
At this comment Whoopi smiled and clapped and Hasselbeck crept farther back into her chair to avoid catching Gaga fever.
