Lady Gaga to guest judge on 'So You Think You Can Dance'
Lady Gaga will be a guest judge on "So You Think You Can Dance." I used to watch that show, when I was like 17 and annoying, but Gaga being on the show might give me enough reason to tune in again.
Lady Gaga will join permanent judges Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy on the judging panel. If you’ve never seen the show, Mary Murphy is like the love child of Meatloaf, Tina Turner, and a banshee, her TV presence is something you have to experience before you die.
Lythgoe, who executive produces both "So You Think You Can Dance" and "American Idol" thinks Gaga will be a wonderful asset to the competition, “Lady Gaga will give great advice on how to handle yourself, how to be creative with what you do, and how to be a fabulous performer. Her help is going to be invaluable.”
Gaga is no stranger to talent competition shows. In May, Gaga was a guest mentor on "American Idol" for the final four contestants. Of her stint on Idol, “I just want to give them senses of inspiration and confidence. And to help them bring out what’s really special about them.”
I wonder what critiques she’ll give on the dance show? This routine could have benefitted from a blue wig? Could you re-choreograph this with a disco stick? I don’t understand why the male dancers aren’t shirtless? I can't wait!
