Kim (real name Kimberly Jones) has been banned from recording any new material by a NY judge handling the case. This comes on the heels of a breach-of-contract lawsuit from her label, Brookland Media.
The good news is that the ruling is only temporary. Brookland claims that she backed out of a deal with them even after they forked over $200,000 to her previous label, Atlantic Records, to help her out of that contract.
They even paid $12,000/month to rent a little place near her home. They're suing for $2 million, so she'd better get her checkbook out.
