Here’s what we know and mostly don’t know: Today, Lil Wayne – real name Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. – came down with a bad Weezy case of…something.
Sources are reporting the rapper, just 30 years old, suffered seizure-like symptoms in-air, while flying on his private jet. The aircraft then touched down in an undisclosed location somewhere in the state of Texas, according to TMZ. From there he was then transported to a nearby hospital and was treated for an unknown number of hours before being released around 6 p.m. local time.
A rep for the rapper had no comment about all the above, leaving us all to scratch our heads over what the exact diagnosis was that brought on his hospitalization.
Not even what his current condition is following said ominous [fill in the blank] condition and whether he’s doing fine or not. That said, a source close to the rap superstar has already informed TMZ that Lil Wayne’s “doing better” now, we’re just not clear on better from what.
Where he may have been flying to and from is also murky. The MC hasn’t updated his Twitter account in two days (an eternity for a celebrity), though he was in San Francisco this past Sunday where he sang “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” for a SF Giants playoff game. Clearly, he needed to benched for a second and whatever happened, hope he gets well soon.
