You can’t change the past. This is what Lil Wayne is coming to terms with this morning following the loss he—and his bank account—are suffering after a judge awarded in favor of Quincy Jones III to the tune of $2.2 million.

If you’re still hungover from an election night party, we’ll refresh your memory. Weezy first took issue with the “scandalous portrayal,” the Jones-directed documentary about the singer’s life, for using unlicensed music from his “Tha Carter III” album.

Not to be outdone, Jones then filed a countersuit claiming this motion and subsequent trashtalking from the rapper significantly hurt the profits of the film, which the court agreed with and ordered a payout from Wayne to Jones in order to make up for it.

Now Wayne is saying he didn’t have a chance to properly make his case and defend it given he was unable to show up in court due to a “medical emergency situation”—those two “seizure-like episodes” he fell under last month while flying on his private jet cross-continental.

According to TMZ, Wayne says he’s sure his absence probably “pissed off” the jury; however, let’s be real, that probably started back when his unprofessional and “hilarious” deposition video hit the internet. TMZ also reports that even in the midst of his exhaustion and dehydration-induced seizures that kept him from testifying, he still found a way to drag himself to a Miami basketball game to sit courtside for the Heat—and objection! Not helping your case there, Wayne.

It’s doubtful that Lil Wayne will try to fight the decision though. It’s JUST $2 million, which he can pull that out of any drugstore ATM the next time he buys gum considering he has a net worth of $95 million.
