The band was made up of Fred Durst, Wes Borland, Sam Rivers, John Otto and DJ Lethal. The last time they played together was in the fall of 2001, after which Borland left the band to focus on his own music.
During that dormant period, Fred Durst was supposedly focusing on his acting career. Although the only credits we could find were his two-episode bartending gig on House. Hey, better than nothing.
But we don’t blame them for giving it another shot. 2008 was the year of the comebacks, but they can try and extend it into this year. Fred says of their decision, “We decided we were more disgusted and bored with the state of heavy popular music than we were with each other. Regardless of where our separate paths have taken us, we recognize there is a powerful and unique energy with this particular group of people we have not found anywhere else. This is why Limp Bizkit is back.”
