Lionel Richie has found his own way to show support to the Haiti earthquake victims. He and Quincy Jones are reportedly recording a 25th-anniversary cover of Michael Jackson’s “We Are the World.”

According to the Hollywood Reporter, an event to remember the King of Pop was originally scheduled for January 28th as a celebration. But since the disaster in Haiti, Richie has turned it into a fundraiser.

Usher, John Legend, and Natalie Cole are just the first of a long list of names attached to the project, which is expected to expand. The artists will reportedly meet on February 1st at the Nokia Theater in LA to record the new version.
