LL Cool J to Host the 2012 Grammy Awards
After 7 years of the Grammy Awards going without a host, Grammy Awards show producer and veteran rapper, actor, and producer LL Cool J has been asked to host the annual music fete.

LL Cool J, whose won two Grammy awards of his own, has hosted the Grammy nomination show each year since 2008, but this is his first year he’s hosting the actual Grammy awards show.

“I’m thrilled to be part of Music’s Biggest Night,” he said in a statement, “I will always have fond memories of my first Grammy Awards and to now be hosting the Grammy show, in the company of so many other incredible artists, is a dream come true.”

While LL Cool J has taken a back seat in music lately, acting on NCIS: Los Angeles and executive producing the Grammy awards show, we almost missed his single with Ne-Yo titled “No More.”

“I did not want to get into a big promotional thing and trying to overdo it,” LL Cool J tells Stereotude, “I did a song with Ne-yo and it was on my TV show ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ and the people responded so favorably that I decided to put it on itunes..."

LL Cool J’s hosting sting is just one of the reasons we can’t wait for this years show. Grammy nominees Jason Aldean, Kelly Clarkson, Foo Fighters, Bruno Mars, Nicki Minaj, and Taylor Swift will also take the stage as performers.

The 54th Grammy Awards airs February 12 on CBS.
