San Francisco residents are not down with Lorde's "Royals"… at least not during the World Series where their beloved Giants will be taking on the Kansas City ROYALS.

Two SF radio stations KFOG and KOIT have banned "Royals" from their airwaves during the week of the World Series games. "Royals" was pulled in response to angry emails from listeners asking the stations to stop playing the track.

On the other hand, Kansas City radio station KZPT has announced that they will be playing "Royals" on the hour from 7 A.M. to 7 P.M. on Tuesday, the day of the opening World Series game.

In an interview with VH1 last year, Lorde revealed that the song was inspired by a photo she saw of former Royals player George Brett signing baseballs for fans. The track is now an unofficial anthem for the team.
