If we’re talking about awards shows let’s talk about the “George Clooney/Octavia Spencer show” that’s occurring all awards season, no really, let’s talk about it because I love those two!
But back to Madonna. David Furnish told the New York Post, “I think it was a fluke,” commenting on her win, “When this happens you have to question the integrity of the awards. Did Madonna get the Golden Globe because she attended the awards and agreed to be a presenter?”
He also went to harp on the fact that nobody has really heard her winning song “Masterpiece” and also, nobody has seen the movie either.
“Can you sing Madonna’s song?” he says, “Can you hum it? It’s a song nobody has heard from a film few have seen. The award should have gone to Mary J. Blige or Elton.”
It seems like nobody was THAT excited after her win, especially after her ego-centric acceptance speech where she shamelessly plugged her skills as a director. Let’s just say, Madonna probably had a hard time making small talk at the after parties. “Have you seen my movie? No? Heard my song? Still no? Uhhh…did you like ‘The Help’?”
However, even though David Furnish appears to be Madonna’s nemesis, he does say he’s a fan of her other music, as long as it 'aint jeopardizing his husbands career.
“I like Madonna’s music, but not her movies. She should stick to what she is good at,” says Furnish.
