Madonna Launches Contest to Find Backup Dancer

Have you always dreamt of sharing a stage with Madonna? Well here’s your chance. Madonna is partnering with Smirnoff to find a new dancer for her next tour. Talk about the chance of a lifetime!

Madonna and Smirnoff joined forces to launch “Global Nightlife Exchange”, which will use social media to connect partygoers around the world.

On November 20th, 50 different countries will throw global nightlife celebration showing other counties how their style of partying is done. What a fun task.

During the party, fans can enter for a chance to compete in front of Madonna and win the opportunity to join her on her next tour.

"What attracted me to the Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project is the combination of participating in the celebration of nightlife around the world and the opportunity to discover the world's best unknown dancers," said Madonna. "The best dancers are always in the clubs looking for the most original experience, just like Smirnoff is doing."

The campaign, created by ad agency JWT, will include an event on November 12 in which 50 parties will happen simultaneously.

Madonna hasn’t released an album since 2008’s Hard Candy, but her manager Guy Oseary confirmed that she’s back in the studio and working on a new album. He recently tweeted:

“Madonna goes into the recording studio next month to begin work on new album...”

There’s been some discussion lately about whether Lady Gaga is taking over as the queen of Pop but it looks like Madge isn’t ready to let go of her title anytime soon.

We asked stars on the red carpet who the Queen of Pop is and this is what they had to say:

Rob Dyrdek: “Certainly not Lady Gaga, I would say Madonna.”

Akon: “I think [Lady Gaga] is the future legend of this time. I think Madonna was the legend of their time and Gaga is definitely hers at this particular moment. She will definitely be one of those leading icons along side of Madonna and Cher.”

Selena Gomez: “I love Lady Gaga, I think she is so fierce and I love all of her wardrobe.”

Rachel Zoe: “[Gaga] is perfect, she has no fear. She is a dream for a stylist.”

Smirnoff will take submissions for that contest from August 17 through October 10. To enter, dancers have to submit a 60-second video of themselves. Details are available at
