Madonna has just broken a record set by Elvis Presley! Madonna’s new album “MDNA” has just moved to the top of the UK Billboard charts making this her 12th chart-topping album, beating Elvis Presley’s record of having 11 #1 albums.
The song is currently #20 on the US album charts, but that doesn’t mean it can’t rise up. Just got to get that pesky Adele out of the way.
However, Madonna has yet to beat The Beatles record of having 15 number one albums.
Madonna’s first chart-topping album was “Like a Virgin” in 1984, and it’s only been uphill since then.
The lead single off her “MDNA” album was “Give Me All Your Luvin” and became Madonna’s 38th top-ten hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart making her the artist with most number one singles on the dance chart.
This is great news for Madonna, who is probably trying to get people to forgot about her “ecstasy is cool” comment at Ultra Music Festival.
Madonna got heat from DJ Deadmau5 because she asked audience at Ultra if they had “seen Molly.” Molly is slang for MDMA and Madonna’s album MDNA is a play on words for the drug, so yadda yadda, Madonna was drudged down into the seedy underbelly of rave drugs and is now trying to eat her words.
Madonna responded to comments from Deadmau5 by saying, “I don’t support drug use and I never have.”
