Madonna Signs Three-Album Deal with Interscope Records

It's been several years since Madonna released a new album. Lately, she's been getting her ya-yas out making a movie and also doing a clothing collection with her daughter, but Madonna is getting back to the music and has just signed a three-album deal with Interscope Records.

The first album will come out in the Spring and according to a source in the New York Post, "[Madonna] will continue to tour with Live Nation but has the deal with Interscope at a base of $1 million per album."

Madonna had a 25-year relationship with Warner Bros music, but Interscope reps more high-profile artists like Lady Gaga, U2, The Black Eyed Peas, Eminem, Enrique Iglesias and Robyn. Madonna's last album with WB came out in 2009 and was a greatest hits collection called Celebration.

Madonna is also confirmed as the official performer for the Super Bowl performance, and rumor is that Nicki Minaj and MIA will also join her during the performance. The threesome just wrapped up filming on the music video for Madonna's first official single of her 12th studio album.

I don't know about you, but I'm very excited for new Madonna music, not necessarily because I like Madonna, but because I'm very curious as to see what kind of dance/pop album a 53-year-old can come out with. If she can make us believe that she's still "club ready," then that is very impressive.

I tip my hat to any woman at that age who can compete with the Ke$has of the world.

During an interview for her movie W.E. she spilled some deets about her new album, "Till the end of the year I'll be in the recording studio," says Madge. "I think the first single is - I'm not sure, February, March? And then the album will come out in the spring."
