Madonna's press tour for her new film W.E. has become such a media disaster, her PR rep is spending more time doing damage control for all the rude things that keep popping out of Madonna's mouth than actually promoting Madge's film.
I honestly have no idea what her film is about. It's something about hating hydrangeas, right? It's a movie about loathing flowers I think.
Anyways, Madonna's PR rep, Liz Rosenberg is defending Madonna's comments towards Lady Gaga. Madonna reportedly dissed Lady Gaga during an interview with French newspaper LeSoir when she said, "As for Lady Gaga, I have no comment on her obsessions related to me, because I do not know it is is based on something profound or superficial."
Well, everyone is saying that Madonna is "dissing" Gaga by saying she has an "obsession," but Rosenberg simply told Us magazine, "She didn't diss Gaga."
Well, she kind of did, but it's no big deal because duh, Lady Gaga IS obsessed with Gaga. "Born This Way" is practically an homage to Madonna's "Express Yourself." Gaga probably sleeps in a cone shaped bra and prays to Madonna by doing yoga and symbolically sacrificing organic pomegranates.
However Gaga claims she's just a fan. She told Jay Leno in February, "There is really no one that is a more adoring and loving Madonna fan than me. I am the hugest fan personally and professionally."
Well until you two battle it out in dance court, you will forever linger in Madonna's shadow. That's a direct threat, Gaga, and also an invitation to "dance court," whatever that is.
Oh also, Madonna also insulted a fan while trying to promote her film at the Venice Film Festival press junket. When a fan handed Madonna a bouquet of hydrangeas, Madge accepted the flowers and then quipped, "I absolutely loathe hydrangeas. He obviously doesn't know that."
But Rosenberg thinks the comment wasn't a big deal. She addresses Madonna's negative comment by saying, "The hydrangea incident is so ridiculous...It's not like she said she hated warm chocolate chip cookies and milk and little puppies!"
She may have said "hydrangeas," but in her heart I know she was thinking "puppies." Never trust anyone who has ever made out with Britney Spears.
In other Madonna news, she's making more trouble than music these days. Apparently her neighbor is suing her for making too much noise.
Madonna's Manhattan apartment neighbor says Madonna dances around and plays music so loud that the walls shake. The lawsuit claims that Madonna's apartment is "blaring music, stomping and shaking walls" for up to three hours each day.
Between lawsuits and offending fans, Madonna better do something philanthropic real soon. How quickly can she adopt another baby?
