Madonna is making quite an impression on Europe. And it’s probably not for the reasons you might suspect.

On Tuesday morning, while transporting gear for her MDNA Tour, a tracker trailer truck full of equipment crashed in the middle of a highway in southwestern Sweden.

According to the Associated Press, the truck was driving for its next stop in Goteborg and was carrying sound gear. The truck flipped onto its side and slide across the pavement. Several lanes of traffic were blocked.

To top it all off, it was rush hour…

Imagine the irony when all those frustrated commuters listening to Madonna to pass the time, found out that Madonna was the reason for the traffic hold up to begin with.

Reportedly, Madonna was not involved in the crash.

The singer has a show scheduled for Wednesday, July 4th at the Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg. No word yet on whether or not the accident will affect Madonna’s ability to perform.

A good chunk of gear was loaded in the crashed truck. As a number of neon yellow response team members worked on the scene, the truck laid on its side where the truck had landed.

The truck’s gate was in the open position and equipment cases could be seen thrown about.

Along with the inevitable harm to the truck and gear, one person was injured in the accident and three passenger cars were damaged.

After its Sweden stop, the MDNA Tour will move on to Amsterdam for a double show at the Ziggo Dome. The North American run of the trip kicks off on August 28the for a sold out show in Philadelphia.
