About half a million people in Somalia have tried to escape war and drought by fleeing to Kenya. Meanwhile, Maroon 5 wants you to Tweet!
The band is donating money to aid the crisis, giving $2,500 for every 1,000 fans who re-Tweet a message they sent out. So it's safe to say, if this crisis in Somalia continues, it's because people didn't tweet enough.
The group writes: "Maroon 5 needs your help! Retweet 1000 times and we will donate $2500 on behalf of fans to this cause. Maroon 5 for Somalia."
I believe this is how spammers operate. Although, they're doing more about this cause than I am, so I'll just shut up now.
Meanwhile, front man Adam Levine recently shot a music video with his The Voice rival, Christina Aguilera. The two bicker incessantly on the show, but Aguilera shared the stage to film Maroon 5's music video for Moves Like Jagger.
Mick Jagger, singer of The Rolling Stones, makes an appearance in the video as well, since he was the inspiration. The video will use old archive footage of Jagger, according to insiders.
It's definitely got to be footage before the eighties. Because the only "move" Jagger's had since then is stirring whiskey into his Metamucil.
