Thanks to the success of The Voice, Maroon 5 is enjoying their resurgence of fame, and stopped by the Today show this morning to perform some of their hits.
Adam Levine recorded the hit "Moves Like Jagger" with Voice co-worker Christina Aguilera who sadly was absent from the Today Show performance, so Levine sang her part and thanks to his manly falsetto he pulled it off. He's no scale climbing diva, but it worked.
Also noticibly absent from his performance of "Moves Like Jagger" are any moves like Jagger. At all. You can't sing a song about having moves like Mick Jagger, who is known for his frenetic stage dance moves, and then not dance around at all. You can't taunt your audience like that! That's like writing a song called "Voice Like Celine Dion" and then barely whispering on the track.
The five-some also performed their hit "Never Gonna Leave This Bed" off their album 2010 album "Hands All Over." They also treated audiences with their original hit, "Harder to Breathe."
Levine has his hands busy these days. Not only is the band doing a 40 city tour that they are co-headling with band Train, Adam Levine is executive producing a scripted sitcom about a Karaoke Bar. When asked why this new venture, the singer said, "Why Not?" and if he's going to appear on the show himself, he says, "Perhaps, I have not decided yet."
