With film production in a constant state of progression, music videos are not far behind.

A great example of the big budget music video trend is Maroon 5’s newest installment “One More Night.” The video features a Rocky- style linear story, a Paramount Studios set, and a big name guest star attached… We're talking about the always seductive Minka Kelly.

Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine spoke with MTV about the actress’ involvement in the project.

"Minka was kind enough to make an appearance. That was pretty sweet," Levine said. "She plays my wife who leaves.”

In the video Levine plays a boxer – yes he takes his shirt off – who is married to Minka’s character. They have a child together and at one point she walks out on him.

According to Levine, it was pretty easy getting Minka to sign on to the project. The actress, known for her role as Lyla in the NBC series “Friday Night Lights,” had some close connections with the music video’s director.

Peter Berg – the director of “Friday Night Lights” – helmed “One More Night” video and, a phone call later Minka was on board.

"The [story behind her involvement] was Pete reaching out to her and saying, 'Hey, do you want to do this?' and her saying 'Yes,' and us saying, 'Thank you!'" said Levine.

Simple as that…
