A Michael Jackson tribute is finally happening! And thankfully, Jermaine Jackson isn’t in charge, so we don’t have to worry about this one fizzling out.
According to TMZ, Cirque du Soleil has created a new show that will pay homage to the King of Pop, and feature all of his biggest hits.
The insanely bendy acrobats will tour across the nation in fall 2011, followed by a Las Vegas residency at the Mirage Hotel and Casino.
Sources say the show will focus mostly on dancing, and will feature some of MJ’s signature moves.
The Vegas version will reportedly be more theatrical, and will include 3D! Co-executor John Branca says, "It will be a theme-park-like show.”
This should help out MJ’s estate, since Cirque and the estate will split costs and profits 50-50. This show is going to be insane!
