Michael's Guitarist Orianthi: Wish He Was Still With Us

Michael Jackson touched a lot of lives. But the people he was gearing up to go on tour with as his final show are still in shock over his death. Hollyscoop talked with Michael’s guitarist Orianthi, and she told us how hard it’s been to have lost the King of Pop.

We asked Orianthi how the This Is It movie affected her, and she told us, “Its just been pretty crazy. Seeing the movie was really emotional for me the first time, second time, looking back at incredible memories, working with everybody.”

Orianthi also told Hollyscoop Michael’s death came as a total shock to her. “I think the whole world was in shock,” she said. “Especially us working with him, it was crazy. I wish he was still with us tonight.”

When it came to advice Orianthi has taken with her from Michael, she says, “To hit my highest notes…he didn’t want us to be nervous. He wanted us to project our energy out into the crowd and just put on a good show.”

She also said, “I really hope he wins all the awards.” And he did do really well. Michael won four posthumous awards last night, coming in second place for most awards, right under Taylor Swift.
