Israel Is Sorry
January 28, 2008 by: BRIDGET DALY

The Beatles should cover One Republic's "Too Late To Apologize" in Israel this May. Israel just apologized to the living members of the Beatles for banning them in the country 43 years ago. No, that's not a typo. Who apologizes 43 years after an incident? I don't even remember fights with my boyfriend from last month. To make up for it, the Israeli UK Ambassador said in a letter to the boys:
"We would like to take this opportunity to rectify an historic missed opportunity which unfortunately took place in 1965 when you were invited to Israel. Unfortunately, the State of Israel cancelled your performance in the country due to lack of budget and because several politicians in the Knesset had believed at the time that your performance might corrupt the minds of the Israeli youth. There is no doubt that it was a great missed opportunity to prevent people like you, who shaped the minds of a generation, to come to Israel and perform before the young generation in Israel who admired you and continues to admire you."
That is hilarious. It's like he's saying, "We had no idea Britney would be a part of our present lives and corrupting our children, so now your music is like going to temple, so could you come here? Sorry, BTW."
