Artist of The Week: Rodello's Machine – Free Giveaway!

Stereotude's artist of the week is indie-folk band Rodello's Machine and in honor of this spirited duo we're giving away free music swag! Keep reading for details.

Rodello’s Machine is what would happen if Jack Johnson had a love child with Wilco and then that child met John Mayer and hooked up with him for a second before making a collaborative album with Mumford and Sons and Iron & Wine and then took a voice lesson from Eddie Vedder of “Pearl Jam.”

What I’m trying to say is that, Rodello’s Machine could best be tagged as indie-folk rock with robust baritone vocals, flavorfully rich harmonies, an acoustically warm back-bone, and a production value like rocket fuel.

Even if you have no idea about anything I just described, it makes you want to hear more, right?

Rodellos Machine is the brain child of Nate Donnis and Kolby Knickerbocker (Verdict still out on if that’s his real name).

Thanks to a fundraising effort with kickstarter, the guys raised enough funds and became the opening act for Blues Traveler in 2009.

Nate is originally from upstate NY and Kolby hails from Miami, Florida. Both dudes were lured out to California and began collaborating and creating music when Nate met Kolby after Kolby’s wife heard him playing guitar at her local yoga studio.

The guys are set to play a show on July 20 in Los Angeles and another on August 12 in San Diego. Head to their website for more information.
