Britney Spears debuts her wacky new video for “I Wanna Go.” This video is definitely a departure from her usual video type, with no choreographed dance sequences (probably a good thing) this new video is chock full of jokes, silly homages and is probably her funniest video yet.

Directed by Chris Marrs Piliero (Ke$ha, The Black Keys) the video opens with Brit Brit at a press conference fending off outlandish questions and lies from reporters.

A reporter asks, “Can you confirm reports that you’re pregnant with Brad Pitt’s lovechild?” To which Spears responds, “That is false. It’s quintuplets.” And other dumb questions like “is it true you hate puppies?” She she gets so fed up and calls out each reporter and yells, “F-ck You! F-ck You! Fuck You!” She then turns to a mustachioed guy wearing a crown, played by actor Guillermo Diaz, and says “You’re cool,” and storms off in a huff. (Funny connection, the “F-ck You!” rant is lifted straight from Guillermo’s 1998 stoner film, “Half Baked.”)

As the music starts Britney storms outside stopping only to grab the crotch of an ecstatic fan, flashes a young boy, and gets frisked by a sexy cop.

Britney is on the prowl, even babies heads are turning. In one scene, a movie theater is seen in the background and the marquee says “Crossroads 2: Cross Harder,” a subtle shout out to her 2002 film debut, “Crossroads.” In another not-so-nice homage, Britney is wearing blonde hair with pink extensions in the video, which looks exactly like Avril Lavigne’s signature locks. Hard to tell if Britney is making fun of Avril or copping her style???

At the climax of the video she is confronted by a trio of cyborgs masquerading as Paparazzi but is quickly saved by Guillermo (the guy with the crown from the press conference) and she rides off in his get-away convertible.

The video ends with a cute tribute to Michael Jackson’s “thriller” video. This video is super random, but now that Britney can’t really dance or sing or do any of the things that are required for being a popstar, silly tribute videos might be her new niche.
