Congratulations to Ne-Yo, who is going to be a daddy!

The R&B artist broke the big news to Ebony magazine that he his girlfriend Monyetta Shaw are indeed expecting their first child!

“I am 30 and I do have my first child on the way, and I’m very, very, very excited about that,” he told the mag. “It’s a New Year’s baby and I’m just in a really good place right now.”

He added that his first-born child will likely be “stubborn.”

Ne-Yo is definitely having a good year! Baby on the way, plus a new album coming out as well! Libre Scale is due to be released on September 10th 2010, his fourth studio album.

The concept and themes of the album are set to represent a story questioning morality and the decision between Money, Fame, Power and Love.

Sounds like Ne-Yo’s got all four! Congrats to the couple!
