Ne-Yo Gets Sued For Not Showing Up to New Year's Gig

Ne-Yo fans in Seattle were left pretty pissed off on New Year’s Eve after he failed to show up to the gig he was supposed to play. Ne-Yo was scheduled to host an event in Seattle to ring in the new year, but he never even showed up!

All Ne-Yo did was pre-record a message that played at 11:30PM saying that he was en route to Nigeria and couldn’t make it. The guests knew it was pre-recorded and were angry they weren’t informed ahead of time.

Imagine planning your whole New Year’s around seeing Ne-Yo and the guy doesn’t even show? What a waste of time! And money, since some people reportedly paid up to $1200 for their tickets.

Well, Ne-Yo’s not getting away with it, because the promoters and party planners are suing him! They slapped him with a $1.5 million lawsuit today. And that doesn’t even seem like that much in the grand scheme of things.

So if the judge sides with them, at least the party planners that put all their hard work into the event will be compensated. The only people who are left out in the cold are the fans!
