Ne-Yo Welcomes His Second Child

Ne-Yo is a dad again! The R&B Singer/songwriter just welcomed his second child, baby boy Mason Evan, less than a year after the birth of his daughter Madilyn Grace.

Ne-Yo and his girlfriend Monyetta Shaw welcomed their son on Sunday October 9. Baby Mason weighed in at 6lbs, 10 oz and Ne-Yo tweeted the birth announcement:

"Sal-u twit fam. If you are truly fam you'll help me welcome the heir to my throne, born OCT.9TH at 6 pounds, 10 ounces! Mason Evan Smith!" he tweeted.

What, What!? Another celebrity baby named Mason? Can Hollywood handle both Mason Smith and Mason Kardashian-Disick?

Ne-Yo might not have even been in town when his wife gave birth. He was in England the night before the baby arrived to perform at the Michael Jackson Tribute Show.

Ne-Yo talked to People in September and said, "[Fatherhood] has been a ride, but I'm loving every minute of it."

He says he instills in his daughter Madilyn the following message, "She definitely knows her worth - which is a beautiful thing. That's something I've tried to instill in her from day one; understand that you are a Godsend. You're an absolute angel and people are supposed to treat you that way."

I wonder if his new son will share his dad's swagger? His daughter sure does, "She's extremely diva even at 10 months. She's a growler right now."

So does his daughter like his music? "She loves the 'Hot Dog!' song [by They Might Be Giants]. She knows two words: 'Dada' an 'hot dog.'" says Ne-Yo.

Yeah, it would be weird if his baby listened to pop R&B slow jamz.

Ne-Yo's next album, "The Cracks in Mr. Perfect" will come out next year. He announced this exclusively at the Michael Forever show.

No other details on his newborn baby or his upcoming album, but one thing is certain, Ne-Yo says he has no plans to marry anytime soon.

He and his baby momma, who own an Atlanta boutique together, dismissed marriage rumors that surfaced about a year ago, "Ok twit fam. To put all rumors to rest," he tweeted, "Not engaged but am expecting second child...Know that the day that I DO decide to take that step you will hear it from the horse's mouth."

When he welcomed his daughter he also announced it via twitter, "Welcoming that lil' girl to the world last night defined for me what 'willing to kill and die for' truly means. My world, my life, all hers."
