Bob Dylan is a musical legend, a worldwide icon, and on Tuesday… a Presidential Medal of Freedom holder.

“Come on Bob,” President Obama announced yesterday, welcoming the legend to the podium.

The 71-year-old singer-songwriter was fitted with the gold, red, white and blue medallion, the highest civilian award in the United States. All recipients have contributed to the security, national interests, world peace, and the cultural identity of the United States.

“I remember in college listening to Bob Dylan and my world opening up because he captured something about this country that was so vital,” Obama said, conveying why fans across the globe have migrated to his music.

Today, Stererotude is honoring Bob Dylan too… but in a different way. With a playlist of some our favorite Dylan songs, performed by artists that have been touched by his musical genius.

The playlist is authored by Tyler Clark and features a long list of classic songs like “All Along the Watch Tower” and “Like a Rolling Stone,” as well multiple versions of tracks “Don’t Think Twice, It’s Alright,” “Mr. Tambourine Man,” among others. You will also notice big artist names like Johnny Cash, Nina Simone, and the Stereophonics.

This is truly a proper homage to one of the greatest songwriters that ever lived. Tune in, kick back, and forget your troubles with the living legend… on us!
