If this provocative photo indicates anything, it’s that Nicki likes Cassie a lot more than Mariah Carey.
In the latest promo shot for the much-hyped video for the hip-hop-pop rapper’s next single “The Boys,” Nicki Minaj is showing it’s actually all about The Girls—one girl in particular and her name is Cassie.
To celebrate a pink Friday, Nicki tweeted the photo of her getting real up close and personal with her co-singer in a scandalous pose doing you know what. In a pink polka dotted we’re-just-assuming bedroom, Nicki’s back is turned to us, wearing a sherbert wig she scooped from a Baskin-Robbins near you, her left hand extended up against a facing forward Cassie.
I’m not at all minding Cassie getting the entire spotlight in this teaser image. The “U & Me” singer has been off the grid for a while and finally returning as the featured voice on the song and sorry Miley, if anyone knows how to really rock a Skrillex song in the form of their barely there hair, it’s Cassie.
For those that haven’t heard the audio of “The Boys” yet, it’s a schizophrenic rap-dance joint—a hook-a-twenty-seconds track that is part-revenge single, part-female empowerment anthem with Cassie sardonically pacifying the male race “You get high / Love a bunch of girls / And then cry on top of the world / I hope you have the time of your life.”
It’s the lead single off Nicki’s The Re-Up, a repackaged version of her sophomore album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded out November 19.
