There’s also a semi nude shot of Nicki’s body, but it’s so cartoonish, it can’t possibly be that offensive?
BET did not give a reason why they banned it, but it’s probably just because of the explicit lyrics. I mean, you could BLEEP “hoe” and “b-tches” but you wouldn’t have a song anymore. Without those lyrics, the song is a short poem, if that.
Sources at the company tell TMZ that it’s just too explicit for TV, but I really think that it’s because BET has alegiances with Lil Kim. It’s no secret that the start of the song is Nicki’s attack on Lil Kim, she is “the stupid hoe” in question. If you know anything about rap beefs, these two are like the Filet Mignon of rap beefs. Nicki and Lil Kim hate each other and “Stupid Hoe” is her not–so-secret diss at the rapper.
So anyways, you can’t catch Nicki Minaj on BET, but you can at the Super Bowl! Her sophomore album “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded” is set for an April 3 release date and she will be gracing the Super Bowl stage this weekend.
