The BET Awards took place this weekend in Los Angeles. As always, a lot happened—shootings, subtle shade, questionable outfit choices, Chris Brown's comeback performance, and more.
We've rounded up everything you need to know:
Questionable Outfit Choices:
Pharrell wore UGGS.
Busta Rhymes may or may not have looked in a mirror before stepping outside.
Usher thought it was 2008 again and rocked a raccoon hat.
Nicki Minaj Threw Subtle Shade at Iggy Azalea:
Nicki won Best Female Hip-Hop Artist for the fifth year in a row. She made it clear in her acceptance speech that "when you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it." Was she throwing shade at fellow nominee Iggy Azalea, who is known to have ghostwriters for her lyrics (cough cough, T.I.)? "No, no, no shade. No, no, no shade."
Shootings at BET Awards Parties:
One person was killed and four were injured at an unofficial BET Awards pre-party in East Hollywood. There was another shooting at Supper Club in Hollywood, where rappers including Game, Meek Mill, T-Pain, and Busta Rhymes were celebrating after the awards ceremony. No one was injured at the Supper Club. Yikes.
