Life on the road can be tough. But, when you’re Nicki Minaj and roll with a bunch of big dudes who will smash anybody who tries somthing funny, well… It has its perks.

Lucky for Nicki that she has the muscle too. It came in handy during a concert of Florida when a enthusiastic fan rushed the stage and grabbed her.

I hope it was worth it for this dude, because it didn’t last long. Immediately Minaj pulled away and the guy was rushed by security from every direction.

The incident went down on Tuesday at the James L. Knight International Center in Miami.

Her enthusiastic fan jumped on the stage from the crowd and rushed up to her, putting his hands on her waist. The fan tried to hang on but his efforts were in vain as he was peeled off the “Starships” singer and proceeded to experience a quality takedown by security.

Can we really blame the fan? After all Nicki’s booty does have Justin Bieber’s seal of approval.

The fan did manage to break free and flee backstage, but nevertheless, Minaj was safe. (What happened back there is unclear from the YouTube video that documented the event).

Despite the assault, Nicki remained in good spirits for the rest of her cheering fans. She laughed it off and shouted, “I wanna say thank you for the love, Florida!”

The rapper took to Twitter to address the issue further…

“Florida u were amazing tonight!!!! Thank u soooo much for the love!!!!! Mmmuuuuaaahhhh!!!!!” she tweeted, following it up with, “Lmaooooooooo. Sit down!!!

From Florida, Nicki has worked her was up the East Coast. Tonight she will perform in Birmingham, Alabama at the Boutwell Auditorium.
