'Rolling Stone' Magazine Names Eminem King of Hip Hop

Eminem is one of those artists that can take a ten-year hiatus, come back and simply hint that he's going to make a new album and everyone will go nuts over the announcement.

Jay Z may have been named the Cash King by Forbes Magazine, but Eminem was just crowned the King of Hip Hop by Rolling Stone magazine.

The magazine ranked 20 solo rappers (no groups) who have dropped albums within from 2009 to July of 2011. They looked at album sales, rankings on the R&B, Hip-Hop and Rap charts as well as YouTube views, concert sales and critics' ratings. They left no stone unturned. And Eminem came out on top.

More than half of Eminem's 7.5 million in sales were taken by Recovery, which was the best selling album in the U.S. in 2010. Period.
