Jay-Z and 6 Other Music Stars Who Support Gay Marriage
President Obama made headlines last week when he spoke out in favor of gay marriage. Now some of music's biggest stars are showing their support for gay rights.

In an interview with CNN on Monday, the Brooklyn born rapper and entrepreneur was asked about Obama's support for gay marriage and shocked many by saying, "I've always thought it as something that was still, um, holding the country back. What people do in their own homes is their business and you can choose to love whoever you love. That's their business. It's no different than discriminating against blacks. It's discrimination plain and simple."
Beyonce and Other Celebrities Remember Etta James
Beyonce played Etta James in the flick “Cadillac Records,” she also performed Etta’s classic song “At Last” at Obama’s inauguration in 2009, so the huge Etta James fan and divalicious singer has released this official statement about Etta’s passing.

“I am so fortunate to have met such a queen. Her musical contributions will last a lifetime. She is one of the greatest vocalists of our time,” says Beyonce.

Beyonce may be a big fan, but the feeling wasn’t mutual. Back in 2009 when Beyonce sang “At Last” for President Obama, Etta famously slammed her performance, saying, “That woman he had singing for him, singing my song…she’s going to get her ass whipped.”
