It’s been a while, but super-producer Timbaland is back with a new single and music video for his David Guetta and Pitbull assisted track, “Pass At Me.”
This is the first single from his upcoming album “Shock Value III.”
This song was first released when it scored the trailer to a new book called “Culo by Mazzacco” which is a Spanish book that is a collection of images of women’s asses.
Now the pop trifecta has released their own music video to accompany the song. The video has everything needed for a successful pop song. Yachts? Check. Scantily clad women? Check. Alcohol product placement? Check. Women dressed as tribal-themed showgirls? Wait, what.
Okay so the video takes a detour with the into-the-wild show girls. These dancers, dressed in feathers and headdresses, look like they got lost on the way to the Beyonce “Who Run The World” video shoot.
Then the video takes a left turn when Timbaland and Pitbull take their gaggle of bikini models to a David Guetta concert and everyone dances and has a great time like some kind of special edition version of Coachella, “Coachella: Yacht Club.”
There are also some close-up shots of the butt-book, “Culo.” Subliminal messaging WHAT WHAT!
Add this song to your playlist titled, “David Guetta feat. Everyone.” It’s incredible how many people David Guetta has collaborated with.
David Guetta and Timbaland’s phonebooks probably read like a grammy nomination ballot. They have collaborated with everyone. The two of them combined have, I’m sure, made airkisses and high-fives with anyone who’s ever attended the VMA’s.
While the rest of us are gearing up for fall weather and saying goodbye to summer fun, this video gives us hope that somewhere out there, Pitbull is still wearing boating shoes and surrounded by chicks with year-round tans.
The other interesting thing about this video is that very little of the footage is actually of Pitbull, David Guetta or Timbaland. David Guetta is seen DJ’ing for about .5 seconds. If you blink, or toggle back over to facebook to see who commented on your status, you will miss him. But Guetta’s never been one to seek the limelight, he just wants to DJ with the stars, not be photographed with them.
Pitbull has his fair share of screen time, but it’s nothing compared to his other videos. He only has one outfit change and disappears for the second half of the video, which is spent focusing on the bikini chicks and on Timbaland who makes a bunch of weird “Oh” faces (and not the sexy kind, but the “Uh Oh” kind).
