In 2012, Psy put South Korea on the map in pop music with his viral hit "Gangnam Style." The popular song was accompanied by a comedic music video, which as of May 2014 is the most viewed video on YouTube. With over two billion views, the viewership is equivalent to one-third of the world's population spending 15,971.1 years watching the music video.
It's difficult to follow up on such immense success. Psy has released two more music videos since "Gangnam Style," but they hardly compare in popularity. Just yesterday he released "Hangover" featuring Snoop Dogg, and it has since racked up over 12 million views...but does anyone care?
Psy will always be one of those musicians that we will keep our eye on for laughs. We really hope he can top "Gangnam Style" one day. Maybe his manager Scooter Braun (AKA Bieb's manager) can help with that?
