Queen Latifah

Ice Age: Continental Drift just got a little hipper. Rapper Drake and singer Beyonce have joined the cast of the next movie. Jennifer Lopez and Queen Latifah are also lending their vocal talents to the movie.
I guess executives figure if they can sing, they can voice a couple of cartoons. And a star like Beyonce or Jennifer Lopez, who's buzzing even more now for her role on Idol , might have a little more draw than, say, Ray Romano. No offense to Romano, but I don't think the kids are tuning into reruns of Deborah yelling at Ray over not taking out the trash.
But with pop stars having such a draw, could they be taking the jobs of regular actors? Who knows whether Justin Timberlake's acting career would've started with such a bang if he wasn't the fedora-wearing superstar everyone loved?

According to BET.com, Wyclef Jean, Lil Wayne, and Chris Brown are scheduled to perform, along with Mary J. Blige, Drake, Justin Bieber, Keri Hilson, Robin Thicke, and Monica.
The event will air live on BET, MTV, VH1 and Centric at 8:00pm, with proceeds going to organizations including Yele Haiti, CARE, Project Medishare and Children’s Safe Drinking Water.
Hopefully this concert can match what was raised at last week’s telethon—a total of $66 million and counting!
