Finally, Radiohead is set to embark on their first headlining UK tour in nearly four years! Attention all you British Radiohead fans, you can stop crying in your bedrooms and playing “Fake Plastic Trees” on repeat, all will be right again in the world as long as Thom Yorke and friends are on a stage again!
The band has announced that it will be playing two shows at London’s 02 Arena on October 8th and 9th and one show at Manchester Arena on October 6. They will be playing music from their latest album “The King of Limbs,” which was released last year.
The band already has a string of US dates lined up, like the Coachella Music Festival next month in Coachella, Ca and the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee in June.
The band has already released two new songs during recent live performances, like new song “Identikit” and “Cut a Hole” and also previewed a new version of Thom Yorke’s solo song, “Skirting On The Surface.”
Guitarist Ed O’Brien says that they are keeping their set fresh by throwing in new unreleased songs here and there, “We’re trying to keep it creative. We’ve been rehearsing about four or five new songs this week so we’re going to try and take those on the road. It feels really good.”
If you can check out the band in London at the 02 arena, that’s you best bet as the band says that their set-list is best heard in an indoor venue rather than the outdoor festivals they are playing here in the states.
