Rebecca Black said her dream collaboration would be to work with Lady Gaga. Great, let's have Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry introduce the two of them and watch the craziness unfold.
Hollyscoop talked to Black at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards and asked who she would love to collaborate with and 14-year-old Black prefers Gaga over Bieber. "I know I've said the Bieb's but really GaGa would be amazing to work with," Black tells Hollyscoop.
Strangely enough, Lady Gaga actually respects Rebecca Black, "I say Rebecca Black is a genius, and anyone that says she is cheesy is full of sh-t," Lady Gaga once said at a Musicians@Google event.
From YouTube to MTV, Rebecca attended the VMA's last night and told Hollyscoop how she rocketed to fame so quickly, "I mean, I had done a lot of the little things [like] getting into acting, getting into dancing, singing and modeling and all that because that's what I feel lots of little girls like to do."
But it wasn't until the Ark Music Factory video for "Friday" that got Rebecca so much attention. She said she only did the video for "the experience."
"This was just one of those things where we wanted to get the experience and maybe put it on my resume."
Say what you will about Rebecca Black or her music videos, but she's the one walking the red carpet and you're the one sitting on the couch and tweeting about the VMA's.
She said her mom had reservations about making the video in case the spotlight became too much for Rebecca, "Maybe this wasn't the path to go because she didn't know if I could handle all of the pressure and then this is how it happened."
But Rebecca says she's handling her newfound fame just fine. Her tip, "just be confident," she says.
Rebecca told Rolling Stone that she's working on a full-length album now which will be out sometime around Halloween but says it will be nothing like the YouTube song that made her famous, "The album is nothing like 'Friday,' It's got ballads, dance songs, everything." I can't wait to hear what "everything" sounds like.
She also said she'd love to get into acting. "I'd love to be in Twilight." It's clear that Rebecca Black has more than enough confidence to make it in Hollywood. I'm sure if she released a video blog she'd be proud of it.
Fortunately for Rebecca Black, even when she fails, she wins, so really, she can do no wrong.
