Regardless, we suppose she's complying with the rules. Initially the country's Islamic party called for her to be banned from performing, claiming her outfits were too sexy and would insult local values. The Malaysian government requires all performers to be covered up from their shoulders to their knees. So she'll be leaving the latex and the thigh-high boots at home.
Malaysia's Unity, Culture, Arts and Heritage Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal has now confirmed the concert will go ahead as planned on February 13th at Stadium Putra in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur. He says, "Rihanna and the concert organizer have assured us that they will fulfill the conditions laid out by the ministry. If that is the case, then there is no reason why they can't hold the concert."
Wonder what kind of conservative outfit Rihanna's stylist is going to come up with??? We'd love to see pictures of that!
