Sources say that Robert Pattinson is recording an album. A music album, you twilight freaks, not a collection of heavy vampire breathing and Rob's voice on loop saying "I will die for you." I know what you creepy 13-years-olds really want.
The Twilight hunk has previously released two tracks, "Never Think" and "Let Me Sign", which were featured on the "Twilight" soundtrack. Now, he's headed to the studio to record a full album.
"Music is his first love! He's tortured because he avoids it," a source tells Us Weekly.
Ok, when is Robert Pattinson NOT tortured? His face constantly looks like he's staring directly into the sun.
The source continues, "When he's sitting around jamming in the studio, it's his favorite moment of life. Rob has been kicking a few original songs around for a long time, but his schedule didn't allow it."
Back in 2008, before Robert Pattinson was a mega star, he used to sneak into the Whisky-A-Go-Go in Los Angeles and perform surprise sets of some of his original music. His music kind of has that folksy-blues sound.
Another source adds, "Now he's got some weeks to get everything in line before going back to promoting 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.' The album Rob will make will be guitar based and drums, very organic-sounding, nothing pop. Like stripped-down Ray LaMontagne meets Van Morrison."
Pattinson usually dodges from the limelight, I hope he understands that once he becomes a music star his fame is going to escalate to new heights, like we're talking some Justin Bieber levels of pop stardom. Even if Pattinson sucks as an artist, his fans are going to act like he's the second coming of Adele.
Jackson Rathbone, who plays Jasper Cullen in the Twilight series and who also has his own band, says Pattinson is actually a great musician.
"[Robert] loves to play the blues. He can hold his own on a guitar. We enjoyed jamming together when we had the time. Very humble and quiet guy."
Why is Rob doing singing the blues? What is so bad about being a millionaire, starring in the most popular film franchise ever, and having a hair-do that was sculpted by the hands of God himself? Huh Rob? Where is "the blues" in that?
Rob says he'd actually rather be a musician than an actor, "I love the piano. I never really had any aspirations to be an actor when I was young. I wanted to play the piano in a bar, to be the old dude with a whiskey glass," says the actor.
It's not too late Rob. I know a living room with a bar and piano that would love to have you play. No seriously, it's my living room.
