Robbie Williams is making a comeback! He’s planning on ending his two-year hiatus and releasing an album in 2009. He’s been on an album strike with his label EMI because he hasn’t been seeing eye to eye on issues with the new label owners. Robbie’s manager Tim Clark tells BBC that he’s been writing songs for the new album at his house in LA, and it should be ready by next year.
Clark says, "I would certainly hope that a new album will be coming next year. There are never any guarantees but that’s what we would hope. We have no idea how EMI will market and promote the album.
He’s been writing and we heard some wonderful stuff. I was with Robbie last week. He was at home and he was writing songs and he played some of them to us. He’s in very fine spirits, in very fine form and I think what he’s doing sounds really wonderful."
Well, Robbie’s made comebacks in the past, and we always end up loving his new material he comes out with. So we wish him luck with the song-writing and hope to hear his new stuff come January!
