Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. This week Rita Ora and Robin Thicke both lost.

Who lost harder though?

Exhibit A - Rita Ora

Some bright individual on Rita Ora's marketing team thought it'd be a good idea to try to get 100,000 fans to retweet a post in return for a release of a new song.

Twitter

Less than 2,000 of Rita's 4 MILLION followers retweeted the post, which was deleted shortly afterwards. Eeek.

Fans took notice and tweeted Rita:

But there's MORE! Rita just tweeted that her Twitter account got "hacked" and the "hackers were trying to release her music" without her consent. LOL. THIS is how she's trying to cover up that embarrassing fail?

Wow. Will she forever remain a Rihanna wannabe?

Exhibit B - Robin Thicke

Tsk tsk tsk. What are we going to do with you, Robin?

Back in September, we got word that Robin Thicke and Pharrell were being sued for copyright infringement of Marvin Gaye's "Got To Give It Up". According to the deceased singer's children, "Blurred Lines" sounded a little too similar to their dad's song.

After months of lawsuits, Robin Thicke and Pharrell have lost their first legal round against Gaye's estate. U.S. District Judge John Kronstadt ruled that there is enough evidence to move forward with the family's claim.

"The Gaye family have made a sufficient showing that elements of ‘Blurred Lines’ may be substantially similar to protected, original elements of ‘Got to Give It Up,’” he wrote.

The case will continue with a trial scheduled for February 10, 2015.
