Were we the only ones who thought Sarah McLachlan was a lesbian all these years? Maybe all those Lillith Fair appearances confused us.

Anyway, we were way off, because Sarah has just announced she's splitting from her husband of eleven years, Ashwin Sood, who is the drummer in her band. Awkward! And Sarah has informed the public that two of the songs off her new record are about the divorce. Double awkward!

She tells Billboard.com, "I'm separating from my husband, so these are the songs about that. I wasn't planning on saying anything, but it's gonna come out at some point. I haven't said anything about it because I've been terrified to, but I figure ... there's no good time to say it, so I just said it."

So does this mean he's out of the band?
