Selena Gomez Cancels Two Concerts After Her Mom Suffer Miscarriage

Sadly, Selena Gomez had to pull out of two concerts over the weekend after finding out that her mother had suffered a miscarriage. She told concert goers that she had a "family emergency" but later found out the real reason for her cancellation.

She was scheduled to appear at the B96 Jingle Bash 2011 at the Allstate Arena in Chicago on Saturday and at the 106.1 KISS FM Jingle Bell Bash at the MaMu Theater in Seattle, but had to back out of both commitments last minute.

Bad news for concert goers, the entire Seattle concert was postponed when OneRepublic had to cancel because their frontman Ryan Tedder was ordered to go on vocal rest.

Selena found out about her mother's emergency on Friday while sitting in the audience at Power 106's Cali Christmas 2011 show in LA and immediately left to be with her mom and stepfather.

Just last month, Gomez was excitedly announcing the news that she was to become a big sister. She tweeted, "Momma and Brian are finally letting me share the news...My mommys carrying my baby brother or sister :) I'm the happiest girl in the world!"

Selena's father Ricardo Joel Gomez divorced her mother Mandy when Selena was five and Mandy went on to get remarried to Brian Teefey in 2006.

The KISS FM show in Seattle has been postponed until the New Year.

"Her family is of the utmost importance to us, and we want to respect her space during an important time with her family," says a spokesperson for KISS FM, announcing that the new show will be rescheduled for Jan. 6.
