Sheryl Crow Relied On Alcohol To Perform

Performing on stage must be pretty nerve wrecking. Sheryl Crow admits to relying on alcohol to get through performances in her early years. She says she could only get on stage if she was drunk! Her alcohol of choice? Jack Daniels!

She says, "I did a lot of drinking early on because it helped me cope with what was happening. But I couldn't deal with it. I'm small and skinny and just a couple of shots would get me drunk. A couple more and I'd be all over the place. I had to knock it on the head. Now the greatest buzz is performing sober."

We're glad she was able to kick that! Maybe Amy Winehouse will eventually be able to perform sober. But we know she's got a long way to go!
